Another Productive Weekend Behind Us

14 weekends (give or take) to go before we’ll be welcoming CAM into this world!  There’s still so much to be done to get the house perfect for her homecoming, but this weekend was very successful. Here’s what was completed:
          - Stripe put on the wall
          - Purple touch up done
          - stroller assembled (missing pieces, we’ll see how helpful CS at BabyTrend is)
          - Dresser 1/3 finished
          - Removed my clothes from closet and made room for her clothes
          - Misc Organizing

This past Thursday, I attended the prenatal swimming class at the Wellness Center. The other pregnant ladies were very friendly and it was nice to be in the swimming pool! The teacher was kinda lame .. she didn’t even get in the pool. She just sat on the sides and told us what to be doing. It just wasn’t very structured and sort of a free for all. But that’s okay, because I enjoy being in the water and it’s FREE! I’ll probably continue going, at least until birthing classes start. I also found out that there’s a post natal exercise class that you can attend for up to 6 months after the baby is born. I can find myself being more likely to attend that one in order to get my shape back after she’s born.

CAM’s been very active this weekend .. and at night too. I’m eagerly anticipating seeing her feet and hands through my belly in the coming weeks! It’s so funny how whenever I put the laptop on my belly, she instantly wakes up and starts moving around a lot. I’m not sure if she doesn’t like the heat, or just the little bit of pressure it may put on the uterus. But, I’m trying not to do it too much so I don’t piss her off! Isn’t it funny how she already has me wrapped around that pinky already!

It’s Started and There’s a Long Road Ahead!

The nursery is painted and the crib is started being built. The toys are organized, the clothes are sorted and put away, and the wall decorations are bought. I began going through the box of newborn toys that we received at the bridal shower and they are so adorable. There’s so many different places for CAM to chew and new noises to discover! It’s going to be so neat to watch her discover what the world has to offer.

Last week I way overdid it and had a very uncomfortable nagging in my right side most of the weekend. It went from my belly around to my lower back and would ache every time i got up to try to maneuver around. It started in Lowes Friday and then finally subsided Sunday night! I know that this isn't the last spout of pain that is in store for me! The bigger I get, the more uncomfortable I’m gonna be! (YIIPPPEE)

Weeks 20-25: It’s field day and the field is my belly!

That’s right … baby CAM (initials, not the name) has been moving and kicking so so much! It’s such a wonderful feeling to know that soon she will be kicking me outside of my belly 100_1871while I’m holding her in my arms! She has been on a decent schedule. She moves a lot during the day and evening and usually will kick a little right before bed, but overall she hasn’t been keeping me up or waking me up in the middle of the night. I do remember one night that she kicked me ALL night long, but other than that she’s been GREAT!

The past two Saturdays I’ve gotten up and gone yardsaling hoping to score some deals on clothes, décor, and baby gear. So far, I’ve found some ADORABLE clothes, a few decoration items, toys and a beautiful storage rack / shelf for EIGHT BUCKS!! Between yard sales, sale racks, and hand me downs, CAM has a great start to her wardrobe!

The nursery has officially been painted! Than100_1875ks to Mallory Bendig, Lisa and Shane, the room looks GREAT! The theme is butterflies, dragonflies, and flowers with a mixture of pink, purple, dark brown, and white. It’s going to be very girly girl, but not too young so that she can grow with it.

I’ve definitely been nesting and cleaning anything I can get my hands on. I ordered a pack of space bags and they are great for organizing and stashing away clothes and bed linens without having a shed By the time she gets here, the house should be crystal clean and I should be okay to not clean for at least a month.

Today was Fathers day and we took Dad to the Hayes Center to see the Depue Brothers. It was a great show and an even better day! I think dad really enjoyed being out and doing something other than the same old same old. After the show, we went to Golden Corral and we all overstuffed ourselves. It’s crazy to think that next year Shane will be enjoying his very first Father’s Day!!!!!
